Our Google Translate app has some new features. We got a lot of feedback from people having trouble changing the translation languages, so we’ve simplified the process. You can now easily flick through languages straight from the translation results page, without having to go back through the text entry form. We think it’s a big improvement.
Another feature that has come from user suggestions is the ability to select or use the translation result. We’ve achieved this by adding a “Send as text” option in the menu.
Finally the positions of the original and translated text blocks on the results screen have been switched. The translated text is now at the top of the screen. We think this makes more sense as the translated text is what people are most interested in, it’s an especially noticeable improvement for large translations.
